FAQ's

Question:  Why are you requiring me to give you a part number?

Answer:  A part number tells us EXACTLY what you are looking for, and allows both of us to be on the same page, which reduces the amount of errors that will arise later on.

Question:  The quote you are sending to me, are the parts used or new?

Answer:  If you submitted a parts request, generally we quote you on an used price for the part.  If we don't say the part is new in the response section, it is a safe bet that the part is used.  If we do not have an used one in stock, we usually quote you a new price for it, and put in the response section that it is a new part.

Question:  Can you send me a picture of the part?

Answer:  No.  We do not have the time to take a picture of a part, transfer it from the camera to the computer, resize the image, attach the file to an email with a short description and send it out.  Let's say this whole process takes 10 minutes.  Factor in that we get close to 500-750 parts requests online and about 200 phone calls a day.  Let's say out of those request and calls, we are asked to take pictures of 25 parts.  That means we would have spent 250 minutes or about 4 hours out of 1 day taking photos and sending them out to people.  It is not feasible for us to spend 4 hours out of each day, sending people photos, when we could be helping other people, or attempting to ship out orders for people that have already paid for their part.

Question:  If you won't send a picture, then what condition are the parts in?

Answer:  The parts are used, so please do not expect the parts to be in new condition.  All the parts will be serviceable, with no defects that will affect the usability of the part, and they will be structurally sound.  Because they are used parts, you can expect minor defects such as small cracks, dents, faded paint, minor rust or corrosion, cut wiring harnesses.  You will not receive parts that have large holes, cracks, or major rust or corrosion.  It does not make sound business sense for us to send out a part that is not serviceable.  This is because we will end up losing money in the transaction, from credit card processing fees that are not given back to us even after we have refunded your money, and paying for shipping twice, once for sending it to you, and another for a return shipment.

Question:  I put in year XXXX, but you sent back a quote for another year, what gives?

Answer:  Our parts request is based on EXACTLY what you put in. If you choose 2000, then it shows up 2000 in our parts request. We don't change it in anyway WHATSOEVER. If you put in year 5635 then we would show year 5635 in our system. We didn't change the information, you either put it in wrong, or forgot what year you put in. The system is automated, so it is as accurate as the information YOU PUT IN.

Question:  Why can't I put more stuff in the part description?

Answer:  We limit the part description to 25 characters.

Question:  Well, I can't describe my part in less than 25 characters!

Answer:  Our database is starting to get errors because it is getting overfilled with 200 word descriptions of parts, because customers do not know a part number, or they like giving long vague descriptions. 25 characters is sufficient for a part number and a quick description. If you can't describe it in under 25 characters then we can't help you. We are tired of getting long vague descriptions such as the thingy that attaches to that thingy with this doo-dad in a polka dot color. A vague description like the above doesn't help us in finding the part for you. It just makes things more complicated, in addition it adds to the confusion, and you, as the customer get mad because you gave a confusing description and got a wrong part.  A part number solves this problem, because a part number lets us know what you are talking about right away.

Question:  Where can I find part numbers for my ski?

Answer:

Kawasaki

1996 till present Seadoo.  1995 and back Seadoo.

Polaris

Tigershark

Yamaha

Question:  I don't know what year make or model my ski is.....

Answer:  Try looking on your jet ski, or on your title for more information.  If you have no information what so ever, then we cannot help you, as you cannot give us any information to work with.

Question:  How do I find out what year ski do I have?

Answer:  Usually you can find that information out by looking at the last two numbers of the HIN or Hull Identification Number, located in the back of the ski. That is the most accurate method. Another method is by looking on your title, however, sometimes the year is put incorrectly in the title. The most foolproof method of finding out the year is by looking at last two numbers of the HIN.

Question:  How do I find out what make or model ski do I have?

Answer:  The type of ski you have should usually be on the ski, or listed on the title.

Question:  I have the HIN does that help me find out what year, make or model it is?

Answer:  Yes, and no. If you have a Kawasaki, then you are in luck because they are nice enough to let you look up what you have based off the HIN or VIN. Go to Kawasaki and put in your HIN. All the other manufacturers like Sea-Doo, Polaris, Tigershark, and Yamaha require you to contact an OFFICIAL dealer of there products in order to look up the information, and we are not dealers.

Question:  I have a Seadoo jetski that is a Bombardier or an Artic Cat that is a Tigershark.....

Answer:  Wrong. Seadoo is the manufacturer, Bombardier is not the model. A model would be something along the lines of GSX, or GTX. Tigershark is the manufacturer, not the model. Tigershark can be the model every once in a while, but 99 percent of the time it isn't. Please look below for a link of all the makes and models of jetskis.

Question: Do you have a listing of all the makes and models of skis?

Answer: Yes, click this link here to see the complete list.  Listing of Models

Question:  Do you sell complete engines?

Answer:  Yes, and no. We do sell engines, but they are not complete, and they are used. You will be getting a short block, which consists of the crankcases, crankshaft, cylinder jugs, cylinder heads, and pistons. It does not include the electronics, intake or exhaust.

Question:  Do you have a warranty or a guarantee for your used engines?

Answer:  No, there is no warranty for an used engine. We guarantee the engines are servicable, and do compression checks on each of the cylinders. That is all we will do.

Question:  Do you warranty your new or used electronics?

Answer:  No. No one in the powersports industry will warranty any electronics, not even dealers, so neither will we. Once you buy it, it is yours. Please read our terms and conditions here.
